Joe's Restaurant Service provides restaurant management software to restaurants nationwide. It was discovered that Joe's was spending excessive time training support personnel since the software documentation was virtually non-existent.

DH Consulting worked with Joe's Restaurant support personnel to learn the capabilities of the software. Then DH Consulting wrote a comprehensive software support document outlining the capabilities of the software and the support procedures.

Service Level Agreements

A state government agency needed to hire an outside firm to provide support for their licensing branch computer system statewide. They've had problems in the past contracting outside firms and needed to make sure they had a support agreement that would meet their needs and cover all contingencies.

DH Consulting met with the agency and reviewed their past and current proposed support agreement. DH Consulting discovered several holes in the support agreement including no requirement for emergency support as well as no required skill levels for support personnel.

DH Consulting worked with the agency to modify the agreement and to ensure the problems were all corrected.

Security

An online retailer has repeatedly had their online store hacked into and customer information stolen. They contracted DH Consulting for assistance.

DH Consulting investigated the past hack attempts, the server platform and evaluated the software. They discovered the hackers were able to fool the software into dumping the customer information through security flaws in the online store software. It was also discovered the store had other security flaws.

DH Consulting fixed the security flaws and offered other suggestions on improving security.
