Technical Needs Assessment
A marketing firm needed assistance understanding a client's
technical Internet needs. DH Consulting met with the marketing
team to understand the client's needs. We assisted in development
of a storyboard and realistic timeline for the client's three Web
sites. We also provided coaching on presenting the concepts to
their clients.
System Integration
Microsoft SQL to Unix Web
Application Interface
A department of a large printer manufacturer needed a method to
provide controlled access of their product information to
contractors. DH Consulting discovered the information was stored
on a Microsoft SQL database. We also discovered the only corporate
approved method of providing this type of access was through a Unix
based Web application running on Perl.
We developed an interface for the Web application that allowed it
to communicate with the Microsoft SQL database. We
determined the data the contractors needed access to and configured
the Web application to provide that information.
SAP Document Data to Unix Web
Application Interface
A department of a large computer manufacturer was migrating their
document information from an antiquated proprietary application
into SAP. They wanted to retain the web interface to the
documentation after the migration and needed a method to allow the
web application to access the SAP document information.
DH Consulting located an API that would communicate with SAP and
the web application. We modified and adapted the API to provide
the communication. Next we modified the web application to request
and display the proper documentation. |
